The heart of the Ceilidh Place is the café/bar – where it all began. The boatshed pushed out into the back garden and we began serving food all day. Breakfast, scones and coffee, soups and salads, childrens plates, lunch, afternoon tea, chittery bites and winter warmers, dinner and supper dishes and after-the-kitchen’s-closed plate of something. Scott Morrison is the head chef who creates wonderfully wholesome and flavoursome dishes. We have ‘Fairtrade’ status and a policy of buying the best of local produce too. We are conscious of our carbon footprint and delight in getting fish from the pier, tatties from the lochside and herbs from the garden. We have yet to crack the bananas!
In addition to all of that the Ceilidh Place can be booked for private functions and we cater for weddings, anniversaries, christenings, wakes and groups for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, high tea and evening meals. We offer a bespoke service the best to meet your needs.
We are licensed for civil ceremonies and can put you in contact with the local registrar or a Humanist practitioner or the local minister. Music, Flowers, Cakes and all of the other specialist arrangements are available here too. We have our limitations (weddings 100 max, 140 for the dance) but we do a cracking wedding.
