Sat 14th – Aly Macrae feat: The Macrazy Vaudeville Orchestra

Aly will now tour Scotland with The Macrazy Vaudeville Orchestra to launch his debut album POPSTARDOMBECKONS. This is the first time the album will be performed live since it was recorded.  Whilst recording the album Aly played 10 instruments himself and is delighted to now have the opportunity to perform the album with the help of 9 other Scottish musicians including Annie Grace.

Wed 25th – Blueflint

Steeped in Americana, the group’s music is part bluegrass, part folk. Based around the banjo duo of Deborah Arnott and Clare-Louise Neilson, Blueflint subtly intertwines the three-finger picking and clawhammer styles of banjo traditions to accompany striking vocals and harmonies on a set of original songs. Thurs 10th – Ivan Drever Band

Veteran Orcadian singer songwriter and one time Wolfstone front man Ivan Drever returns to full band mode to play The Ceilidh Place. Ivan has hooked up with good friend and exWolfstone guitarist Andy Murray and also guitarist/bassist and producer Finlay Wells with Iain Coates on drums.

Fri 25th – Christmas Buffet

‘Commercial Christmas Resistance Movement‘ will be hosting a charity buffet in The Ceilidh Place from 12.30pm til 7pm. All are welcome and donations for food will be collected for the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign. There will be no turkey, tinsel or trappings but there will be good company, great food (Middle Eastern) and drink. If you are escaping the madness that Christmas has become, then this is the place for you.
